temple training
Island of Bornholm — August 17–23, 2026
A seven-day residential practice. Four participants.
Seven days. One space. Four participants. Three sessions daily. Once a year. The practice does not pause. The day begins with it and ends with it. What is between sessions is not separate from them. This is the Temple Training.
Learning requires sustained practice. A single day meets the body once and moves on. What changes the body — what allows structure, movement, and force to be met directly rather than observed — is practice that continues day after day, building on what came before.
Full transmission of The Undivided Art has always required decades — Kappō 活法, Taijutsu 體術, and Sappō 殺法 together, each requiring years of its own. Temple Training works with all three: Restorative Movement and therapeutic stretching, continuing Kappō; Kinetic Movement, continuing Taijutsu; and Martial Art, continuing Sappō.
Seven days does not replace decades of practice. It is enough time for sustained practice to be met directly, long enough to be genuine.
